Legacy’s Family Day 2010
The clouds parted on cue for Legacy’s Annual Cookout & Family Day. The event is held to celebrate family and to recognize and show appreciation to clients and partners. Food was catered by Lefty’s Barbeque and some activities for participants were face painting, miniature golf and even one of the largest moon bounces in the state of Maryland! Legacy Management recognizes it has a responsibility to give back to the greater community and the people we serve. We have been very successful in our fundraising efforts for a variety of charitable organizations, as well as inspiring our own employees to give back to those less fortunate. By encouraging a philanthropic spirit within our company, our employees have an even greater understanding of the people they touch everyday at Legacy Management.
We have aligned our company with several organizations and/or programs whose causes we believe in and that have a far-reaching impact on everyone in the greater community. Some of our philanthropic endeavors include:
The Association Benefits Program - Developed in 2007 to help those homeowners in need living within Legacy -managed communities, Association Benefits Program provides homeowners and their respective associations value added resources. Legacy has a long history of working closely with providers of both products and professional services to develop programs that provide a direct benefit to all of Legacy’s clientele. These specialized Legacy Management programs include financial and investment planning, tutoring and educational resources, and discount purchasing opportunities for the individual homeowners within the Associations Legacy services.
Monthly Prize Packages - This program awards owner each month for paying their assessments on time. Each month families within their community are nominated, one name is drawn and that family receives up a free three day two night vacation this helps with past due HOA assessments and motivating owner to bring their property into compliance.
Manna Ministries - Legacy Management consistently donates funds to the charity that provides food on a bi-weekly basis the local residence in need.
Habitat For Humanity - Legacy Management actively manages communities built to aid the economy and to would be home buyers that otherwise wouldn’t qualify for traditional homeowner purchases.
Helping Our Communities - When one of our communities was in trouble, Legacy Management stepped up to help by waiving its management fee and asking all the community’s vendors to do the same. Legacy Management also assisted financially with the fees needed to file bankruptcy.
Helping Families In Need - Annually Legacy Management adopts needy families at the holidays, as advertised on Community Concepts each season, Legacy ask not only its clients but the greater community to send in letters telling of people in need. Every year individuals are selected based on different levels of need. Legacy has independently feed, provided toys, and medical care for needy people throughout the North-Atlantic Region.
When a board of directors advised management of three displaced families within a community, Principal & CEO arranged for months worth of food to be provided and to assist with the insurance claim offering temporary housing within a vacant rental property.
